All those jealous hating losers who vandalize other's cars by keying should quit life and die; then go to hell where they are forced to constantly key their own cars. >=\ <venting for someone>

On another note, anyone still reading this?

Happy Chinese New Year! (especially to my sister since she was born in the year of the Dog). http://www.educ.uvic.ca/faculty/mroth/438/CHINA/chinese_new_year.html

On another note, can anyone recommend a good 'tweener racquet?  I'm thinking about getting the Head Liquidmetal 5. http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpageRCHEAD-LM5.html

Finally saw a celebrity in Los Angeles.  I saw Robin Leach (narrator of the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous) at Jerry's Famous Deli in Studio City!  Hehe, need to get out of Palmdale more.

Wow, the Lost tv show is so addicting.  Finished Season 1 over the weekend and 9 episodes of Season 2 today.

Anyone going to Vegas on the 22nd to watch Cal play BYU?

Go Bears!

Too tired to do anything productive and not tired enough to sleep... so thought I'd do another semi-annual update on my old Xanga page and see who's still alive on Xanga... Mark, Jeryl...??

Just got back from a 49-hour trip to Las Vegas (including the 9 hours travel time) with a group of colleagues and friends from work.  Vegas was really fun even though the schedule was so packed and I only got about 6 hours of sleep.  Wish we could've stayed longer to enjoy Vegas at a slower pace, but unfortunately the trip length was determined by The Company; they subsidized most of the bus costs and the Bellagio buffet dinner.

Got to Vegas on Thursday around 8pm and checked in at Bellagio.  The Bellagio room was really expensive, but I managed to cut down the costs by reserving one room through the poker room and sharing it with 7 other people.  At 550 sq ft, we could've fit another 2 people, but I guess 8 people in one room was already enough.  Here's a review from http://www.cheapovegas.com/vegas_casino_full.php?hotel_id=1005.  Afterwards we went to the Rain nightclub at The Palms.  Here is a review and a site for free VIP passes: http://las-vegas.nightclubs.com/rain-las-vegas.html  There weren't many people gambling at The Palms, but that nightclub was packed.  The atmospheric effects were pretty cool, especially the fire effects.  Several times through the night, fire would spew upward from nozzles located on a steel frame platform located about 10-15 feet above the dance floor.  After clubbing, we went back to Bellagio around 2am.  As part of the deal to get a cheap room at Bellagio, I had to play 6 hours of poker a day.  So I played at the only available 4-8 limit HL until 10 am.  Unfortunately I didn't catch a lot of good cards and was playing with a couple of really lucky drunk tourists, so that didn't go so well.

After playing poker, we went to hang out on The Strip and to take photos for the photo scavenger hunt.  The list had some pretty easy stuff like taking a picture of the Eiffel tower at Paris to some pretty wacky stuff.  Examples of that would be jumping into a hotel pool with your clothes on, wearing a bathrobe downstairs in the casino floor, or even finding a random bride to kiss (we actually found a military couple at Rain who just got married).  Actually, there seemed to be a gravitation toward wedding photos on the list.  The max number of points you could score is 100 and there was one task on the list for taking a photo of you and someone getting officially married in Vegas.  That one was worth a whopping 20 points and there were at least 5-10 points for other tasks related to weddings.  Most photo tasks were worth only 1 point with a couple worth 2-4 points.  I suggested Brian and Jenway to get married, but they didn't take up the offer.  Everyone else had a gf or bf and Brad couldn't get married twice.  We won with 36 points though; first place $75 in Bellagio chips.

After the Bellagio buffet, a couple of us went to watch Cirque Du Soleil's "O" at Bellagio.  This was the first Cirque Du Soleil show (actually haven't gone to a circus show before)  I've been to and I was really impressed... the costumes, the music, the acrobatics and the way they put the water-themed show together... all of that was awesome.  Definitely go see that sometime, although tickets are pricey.  After that, went to play poker around 1:30am..  Played 8-16 limit HL, and same old story as last night except a little worse.  There was this drunk kid who played almost every hand and kept hitting his cards... he proceeded to give me and other people at the table multiple <memorable> bad beats... and he goes to Stanfurd.  Eh, hopefully I have better luck next time.  Oh yeah, almost bumped into Ben Stiller (I wasn't looking, my other friends were) in Bellagio and saw Johnny Chan playing poker in the high-limit room.

So that's pretty much it.  Left at noon today.  Watched Hitch on the bus.  Pretty good movie :P.

Ok, time to find some food in Palmdale, tinker around with Visual Studio 2005 and start studying for another real estate test...
